ARGILUR means "LightSoil" or "SmartEarth". It also alludes to the Sun and Earth gods in Basque indigenous mythology. ARGILUR is rooted by the ancient concept of Mother Earth, and aims to change our relationship with Her.
At ARGILUR, we are visionaries grounded in reality. ARGILUR arises from 12+ years of multidisciplinary academic research on the climate crisis and alarming observations on its effects on Arctic ecosystems and people worldwide. After witnessing first hand losing the race of research and policy against the climate crisis, ARGILUR evolves through conducting research in climate solutions into industrial applications. We are also artists and most importantly, humans in deep service and devotion to Nature. ArgiLur's mission is to inspire action to solve the climate crisis by designing innovative carbon sequestering clothing that helps achieve NetZero.
The fashion industry today wildly does not live up to reality. We believe in connecting with Nature is healing, where fashion is one of the oldest form of self-expression tied to the elements. We do not only use our brains, we listen and integrate heart, body and soul through our creative work. We strive for awareness, accountability, self-development and radical self-expression as critical means for the healing of our planet.
